Right now is the best time to sell your home. Learn why here.

Many homeowners are wondering if they should put their home on the market in the winter or if it would be better for them to wait until the spring. Typically, I’d say it was fine to wait until the spring to list your home. Statistically, more homes sell in the spring here in Northern Virginia.

However, 2020 changed everything, and it’s become clear that now is the best time to sell your home for three key reasons:

1. Interest rates are historically low. That means that buyers have more purchasing power.

2. Inventory is lower than it has been in years. In some neighborhoods, there are no homes on the market at all, and when homes do go on the market, they normally sell within a couple of weeks and with multiple offers.

3. Demand is higher than ever. That’s due to interest rates being so low, plus the fact that the pandemic has caused people to work from home, which in turn made them realize they want more space in their homes.
