Here are five events you can attend on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2022.
It’s difficult to believe that 2021 is almost over, but it is. So to ring in the new year, I’m sharing some ways you can celebrate New Year’s Eve in our area:
1. Franklin Park Arts Center in Purcellville. They have a wonderful New Year’s Eve party, and you can bring your entire family. The party happens from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Begin the evening in the gallery by making a lighted snowflake ornament and taking in the art exhibit. Then go outside and see the lighted sculptures of the winter lights walk and laser light show. Visit the Franklin Arts Center website for more information.
2. Holiday Road in Morven Park. This is another excellent family event; they’re open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. They have larger-than-life holiday displays and beautiful lights. Advanced tickets are required.
3. Tally Ho in Leesburg. If you’re not quite ready for 2022 and want to go back to the 1980s, come listen to The Reagan Years, an exceptional tribute ‘80s band that will begin their set at 8 p.m. I advise purchasing tickets ahead of time.

4. The Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg. Want something a little more formal? This resort is hosting a grand New Year’s Eve party with music, dancing, and a fantastic menu. Tickets are $250 per person.
5. Vanish Farmwoods Brewery British-themed party. This New Year’s Eve party is my favorite idea on this list because the ball drops at 7 p.m., which is midnight in the United Kingdom. They’ll have a British cover band, food specials, and you can still get home at a decent time if you like.
